BIRTH TIME RECTIFICATION To determine your probable birth time, Dianne requests anecdotal information of major events in your life (injuries, births, deaths, weddings, significant moves, etc.). By going backwards in time, it is possible to reasonably propose or rectify your birth time. This is complicated and time consuming, but important to determine if you seek deeper insights into your personality and more accurate forecasts. In-person Sessions
In-person sessions take place in Alexandria, Virginia. Directions will be provided after you have scheduled a session.

Telephone Sessions
You can always choose a telephone session whether you are local or distant. It is usually up to the client to call me at (703) 548-4552 at the agreed upon time. However, if it would be a toll call for you and you live in the continental U.S., Dianne is happy to call you.

Cancellation
Because significant time and energy is put into preparing for your session, the courtesy of at least 24 hours advance notice for cancellations is expected or you will be billed for your session. If Dianne has to cancel your session with less than 24 hours notice, you will be entitled to a compensatory session free-of-charge. If you do notify Dianne of a need to change the scheduled session more than 24 hours ahead, she is always happy to reschedule.

Confidentiality
All information exchanged during a session is considered confidential even if a third party is paying for the session. Dianne will not discuss your visit with anyone, nor release your chart information without your specific permission. You, however, are free to share the recording and your experience of our session with anyone you choose.

Payment
If services are offered in-person, payment is expected at the time of the session. If offered by phone, payment is expected in advance. Cash and checks are accepted. If you wish to pay by credit card, please notify ahead and a Paypal invoice will be emailed in advance for payment using your credit card. You do not need to be registered with Paypal to be able to pay the invoice with your credit card.

Recording of Session
All sessions are recorded and an audio file or CD is provided afterward. If you do not want your session recorded, specify before the session begins. The recording is offered as a courtesy and cannot be guaranteed. You always have the option to record the session yourself. If in the unlikely event that the recorder malfunctions, the session cannot be repeated. If your CD does not work or gets lost in the mail, reasonable efforts will be made to replace it if there is a working copy.

What information is needed in advance?
Dianne will need your birth data (date, exact time and place) as well as the issues or concerns about which you seek assistance (see below) no later than 48 hours before your session.

Importance of Birth Time Accuracy
The accuracy of the astrological information you are given depends on the accuracy of the birth time that you provide. For every four minutes the time is off, the details of your chart can change by one degree. This can create a significant inaccuracy, especially when forecasting ahead. It is well worth your time to pursue all possible means of get an accurate birth time or you might consider having your chart time rectified (see below).

Suggestions for finding your birth time

• Best source is your birth certificate. In the US there are two forms, a short form (does not include time) and long form (time of birth noted). The long form is usually available at the county seat where born, or perhaps the town, city or state. The office is usually called the Office of Vital Records.
  
  
• Mom is not the best source. Mom's memory is the last source to rely on. More often than not she is off by several hours, but then she was busy giving birth to you. Only if she wrote it down or another family member corroborates the time is her memory to be trusted.
  
  
• Research online. Vitalchek.com provides a service that will send you a birth certification, but remember to ask for and insist that you only want the "Long Version," sometimes called Birth Long or Birth Full or you will waste your money.
  
  
• Other places to look are: baby books, family bibles, birth announcements (perhaps printed in the local paper), hospital basinet card or parent's diary.
  
  
• Family lore. Important family memories connect with the birth event and are now family lore, such as "just as the church bells rang," "just before the game started," or "as the sun was rising." Such events are researchable.
  
  
• Contact the hospital directly. If the hospital still exists and the doctor who delivered you can be found, they may still have records, though it could require writing a letter and paying a processing fee.

If no record is available, it is still possible to have an astrological consultation by leaving out certain details that cannot be determined without your birth time.

However, if you would like to have deeper insights to your personality and more accurate forecasts, a chart rectification is advised (see "Services" for fee).

Issues or Concerns
To gain the most from your session, it is important that you share in advance about any issues or concerns for which you seek more clarity. Getting help from astrology is not a passive act of gathering information, but - to get the most - it is an interactive experience.

The astrological information presented may be more than you requested. When things are seen which are important for your life, Dianne will advise you in the most helpful way, by brainstorming solutions and helping you considering alternative courses of action. Do not be surprise if the information provided leaves you feeling overwhelmed. That is why a recording is useful to refer to afterward and as time goes by.

Although astrology is not psychotherapy, it can sometimes have a therapeutic affect. If deeper issues are uncovered, however, Dianne may refer you to other trained professionals to help you handle them.

Think of your birth chart in two ways: 1) a blueprint of your innate strengths and challenges and 2) a timepiece that shows when it is time to pay attention to specific personal development issues.

Follow-up Questions
If you have a question after your session, Dianne will be happy to answer it by phone as long as it is within one week of the session, takes less than ten minutes to answer and does not require calculating an additional chart.

Forecasting vs. Fortune-telling
Dianne provides forecasting services, rather than predictions or fortune-telling. Astrology is a magnificent tool for understanding the cycles and stages of emotional, psychological and spiritual development. Knowledge of this enables you to align with your inner rhythms and more effectively pursue your goals. What is given is like a Cosmic Weather Report. She provides an opinion of what may be ahead for you so that you may prepare. However, since we co-create with the Divine, your freewill and intentions strongly influence the actual events and circumstances in your life.

Other People's Charts
Though you may be curious about other people in your life, as a matter of ethics, Dianne will not provide information about anyone's chart to anyone else without their permission. However, she is happy to provide a chart comparison or make comments on compatibility with another that focuses on you without going deeply into the other person's life. An exception is made for parents of children under 18 who may be seeking useful information about how to better parent their child.

Can you get a recording of Dianne's interpretations without speaking to her?
No. Since your birth chart is a set of potentials that come to life through your moment by moment decisions and actions, Dianne feels it is through interaction with you that the chart is revealed and her intuitive is activated.
