What’s new about the New Year?

Two days before the year 2006 rolls in, there will be a New Moon. The two events do not always happen so close to each other. With the change to 2006 still within the glow of the New Moon, could it be possible that we really will have a very different and new year ahead?

In my opinion, the answer is YES! That is both good news and bad news actually.

Every year it is common to celebrate and make resolutions around this time as if some magic happens at the stroke of midnight December 31st. We hope that moment holds some special power to help us break bad habits, raise our bank accounts and bring true love in the New Year.

The bad news is midnight December 31st is no different from noon on July 4th or any time on any day. Every moment has within it the same magic for change, newness and opportunity. In that respect, the New Year is not really new at all.

The good news is every so often the cosmos provides a boost of energy to move us forward in positive ways. I would say having a New Moon so close to the New Year this year is just that kind of boost. New goals set at the time of the New Moon in Capricorn have a better than average chance of being attained with a little help this year.

So go ahead...imagine, design and create something new for 2006 as the Heaven’s are supporting you.

Will it be easy? Not if you think you can create something new using old behaviors and ideas. Back to the bad news – the things that are not working in your life will have to be discarded in order for higher possibilities of happiness to manifest.

Therefore, this is a golden opportunity to appreciate the old and valued parts of your life that are worth carrying forward while you also take advantage of the opportunity to imagine the great possibilities that can be created in the New Year...and in every moment of your life.
